Copy Machines
The library has a color copier, which can also scan to email, on the first floor across from the main desk.
Charges are $0.20 per page for black and white, and $0.25 per page for color. Scanning to email is free.
Fax Machine
The library has a fax machine on the first floor across from the main desk. The cost is $0.20 per page for sending or receiving a fax.
Send faxes to 440-967-5482 and pick them up at the customer service desk. Faxes will be held for 7 days.
Internet Access and WiFi
The library provides computers with Internet access and software programs including Microsoft Office. Users must have a valid library card in good standing and accept the library’s Internet policy prior to use.
WiFi is available throughout the building. No password is required.
Meeting Rooms
The library provides several meeting rooms for non-profit groups, businesses and organizations to use when they are not in use for library functions. Prior to use, groups must read the meeting-room-use policy and fill out an application. Staff will let the group know if the date requested is available. For more details, see Meeting Rooms.
Microfilm Reader
One microfilm reader is available for public use upstairs in the Local History area. Please check with the main desk before use.
Public Computers
The library provides public-access computers on the first floor in the adult fiction area, the second floor reference area, as well as computers in the children’s department.
Use of the computers requires a valid library card in good standing and acceptance of the library’s Internet use policy. Minors require an additional signed permission form. Visitors may request a guest pass from the customer service desk.
Customers may use the computers for an unlimited time during library hours, unless all computers are in use, at which time a 90-minute limit will be enforced.
Only one person is permitted at a workstation at any one time, except for a parent/guardian/custodial caregiver assisting the user. Students working on projects may request permission to work in pairs.
Files may not be downloaded to the library’s hard drives. Users must have their own external storage if they wish to download files.
Printing costs $0.20 per page for black and white and $0.25 per page for color.
Tech Training
Staff members are available for one-on-one and group sessions for questions relating to technology. Get personalized help with your needs, such as the following:
- Smartphone or tablet basics
- Microsoft Office applications
- Accessing eBooks and audiobooks using library apps such as Libby and hoopla
- Using the internet and email

Typewriter
One electric typewriter is available for public use on the first floor.
Projector loans
The library maintains projectors that can be checked out of the library. The loan period is 2 days with no renewals.
Customers must be over 18, have a library card in good standing and agree to the laptop-loan policy at the time of checkout.
Notary (Limited)
Limited notary service is provided free of charge. Please call ahead to make sure a notary is available. See our Policies page for more details.
Proctoring Exams
Staff from the adult services department offer assistance proctoring exams for distance learning and professional certification. Please call 967-3798 to schedule in advance.
Reader's Advisory
Staff are ready to assist customers in selecting reading material using print- and electronic databases. You may ask in person, call 440-967-3798 or send your request to info@ritter.lib.oh.us.
Reference Service
Staff from the adult services department will answer your questions in person, by phone or via email.
No tax, legal or medical advice is provided. Please contact a qualified practitioner if detailed advice is needed. Staff can direct customers to financial, legal and medical information in the library’s collection or online where customers may make their own decisions.
Voter Registration
Voter registration forms and information about requesting absentee ballots are available at the customer service desk and the information desk. Registration forms may be filled out at the library or taken home to be mailed.
Web Printing - Print from Home
Send your print job to Ritter wirelessly – from home, while you’re on the road or anywhere you get online. Mobile devices can send print orders to the library printer using the ePrintIt Public Print Locations app from your app store.
Pick them up at the customer service desk.
Prices are $0.25 per page for color and $0.20 for black and white.
