Here’s an opportunity to be part of a unique, community-wide reading event: As part of our special programming to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, local author Joette McDonald will lead a group discussion of “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” by Harriet Beecher Stowe Thursday, March 22 at 7 p.m. McDonald recently performed a dramatic presentation at the library as Stowe, using many of her own words. She’ll use her special knowledge and insights to lead the discussion.

Primary Election DayPosted: March 5th, 2012

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 6. Ritter is the polling place for Vermilion precincts 1-A, 2-A and 2-B and will be open for voting only beginning at 6:30 a.m. Please enter through the east doors. The library opens for regular business Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Tax Aide appointments will be in the Ritter Room and the group study room on the main floor.
