Shorelines Book Club meets every third Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Ritter Room. The title for July is “Framing Innocence”, Lynn Powell’s true account of what happened when a mother and amateur photographer in Oberlin dropped off film at her local drugstore. The film contained pictures of her daughter that would cause the county prosecutor to take her away in handcuffs and threaten to remove her daughter. Powell, a poet who was also the woman’s neighbor, recounts the zeal of the prosecutor and the reaction of a small town. Order your copy today!
