Friends of Ritter Public Library

The Friends are dedicated to focusing public attention on library services, facilities and needs; helping promote the use and enjoyment of the library; and developing supplemental funding for the library. The Friends board meets every first Monday of the month at 2 p.m. in the library. Guests are always welcome to join us.



Every day, you can find dozens of gently used books – some right from the library shelves – for sale at the Friends’ ongoing book sale, located just inside the main entrance.

Annual Book Sale

This year, the sale is the largest ever, with about 13,000 items! Shop Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, June 26 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Annual Chocolate Festival


The Chocolate Festival is held in February during the town-wide Ice A-Fair.
